CERCIRAS Young Researchers Forum

Call for Presentations 

CERCIRAS Cost Action is announcing a Call for Presentations at the Young Researchers Forum. We invite  CERCIRAS Training Schools participants, CERCIRAS grant winners, and all other CERCIRAS participants who have been in the status of young researchers (under the age of 40).  at any moment of CERCIRAS lifetime, to propose a talk and present their work to the CERCIRAS Action Network of researchers and innovators during the Closing Conference that will be held in Maribor, Slovenia, from July 2 to July 5, 2024.

Scope

Topics in line with CERCIRAS goals include, but are not limited to:

  • Resources
    • measurement and estimation utilization
    • trade-offs
  • resource-aware systems design and implementation
    • resource awareness in system design and implementation
    • systems design and implementation for resource management
  • tools supporting resource-aware designs and implementation
    • programming languages
    • virtual machines
    • system analyzers
    • resource awareness of technologies, tools, and techniques used in system development
  • resource-aware society
    • aligning incentives for resource awareness
    • evaluation of resource allocation within facilities, organizations, regions
  • economy and management in resource awareness
    • background techniques: mathematics, statistics, management
    • cost-benefit trade-offs
    • application of background techniques resource-aware computing
    • business models in resource-aware systems
  • application of the above to other sectors and domains
  • education and training in all the above topics of interest

Submissions

Young researchers who meet the above criteria are invited to submit short biographies to CERCIRAS Closing Conference organizers by filling up the web form.

Acceptance 

CERCIRAS will tend to invite as many presentation proposers as the event budget allows to present their work at the CERCIRAS Young Researchers Forum Closing Conference. Participation of all young researchers will be supported by the CERCIRAS COST Action CA19135 based on the reimbursement funding model. The CERCIRAS Action will reimburse long-distance traveling expenses and Daily Allowance, where Daily Allowance is a flat rate defined to cover accommodation, meals, local transport, and staying fees according to COST Annotated Rules.

We welcome candidates from all eligible Countries according to the COST Annotated Rule (see page 60 and country and organization table).
